Update 0.0.9 changelog and more invites coming soon

Here is the changelog for the current version 0.0.9. We are trying to fix a few small issues right now and hope to be able to release a new version by the end of next week. When the next update is ready we will send more invites and allow the first batch of people who registered for the beta to jump into the closed alpha test.

 

v0.0.9 (ALPHA)

- fixed overall level tooltip on char selection screen

- added more multiplayer code to sync abilities (1vs1)

- added syncinc for special effects (shockwave)

- fixed some sounds not playing for the second player

- started to fix Moon Raccoon Laser ability (laser not moving with paddle and not syncing properly)

- added clickable version info on top (alpha/beta)

- added small bug icon on top - click it to report bugs or submit feedback

- added game over screen (winning after 5 points)

- added XP gain after winning a game (level system not finished)

Closed alpha test has begun

The closed alpha test has begun and in this first phase only a small number of people will get an invite.

The game is still in an early stage and many features are missing or not completed, yet.

 

We try to finish more parts of the game as soon as possible and the next phase, where we will invite more people, will beginn soon. Because we want to show off our new game to as many people as possible to get more feedback and active players, we decided to invite everyone who submitted the beta form in an upcoming alpha phase. The following beta test will be public and accessible by everyone.

 

There is still time to submit an application to get early access during the alpha.

New Update v0.0.8 (ALPHA) - Multiplayer fixes

Hi! It's time for another update. I had some problems with multiplayer connections and syncing but it seems everything is working as expected now.

 

v0.0.8 (ALPHA)

- started to implement "Private Game" mode (challenge a friend)

- added code to select a random level out of the player selected levels before the game starts

- fixed re-connection issue when changing playername while auto-reconnect was active

- other small UI fixes

- started to implement abilities of the Moon Raccoon, Corgi General and the exclusive Indiegogo Unicorn characters

- updated level backgrounds for "The Moon" and "Earth"

- updated character icons for the "Moon Raccoon" and "Corgi General"

- finally (!) fixed multiplayer server problem where no new games could be created

- added code for multiplayer synchronisation to sync CharID and LevelID

(each player selects a level and then one of the selected levels is chosen randomly)

New Level art and preview of the Moon Raccoon special ability

Time for another update! We continued to work on the network code, fixed some small re-connection and UI issues and changed all photos to cartoons to get a consistent style. 

Here is a preview of the new level icons and backgrounds:

New character art and status update for v0.0.7 (ALPHA)

Today we started to work on the new character art (cartoon instead of photos) for the evil Moon Raccoon and the brave Corgi General. Here is what we got so far (still work in progress):

Other things we fixed and updated in version 0.0.7 (ALPHA) today include:

  • added option to auto-connect to matchmaking server/lobby on startup (will be remembered)
  • started to work on ball selection on settings screen (you can unlock new balls with achievements and on special holidays)
  • fixed background music playing even if disabled in settings
  • added custom mouse cursor image
  • added tooltips and icons for abilities to the character selection screen (3 chars so far, more coming soon!)

Coming next will be some new code for the 1vs1 Multiplayer mode and the new levels for the Corgi General and the exclusive Unicorn character - which you can only get for a limited time if you get the Digital Deluxe Perk on our Indiegogo campaign.

Updated Perks and important note about the Digital Deluxe character

Hello dear followers and visitors. We updated our Perks on Indiegogo today. Here are the changes: 

  • the 1€ Perk has been removed because of the high fees for small amounts 
  • the 15€ Perk with bonus content now includes the soundtrack (was in 25€ before) 
  • the Digital Deluxe Perk has been lowered from 50€ to 25€ and includes the special playable "Unicorn" character which is only available via Indiegogo 
  • the Founder Perk has been lowered from 100€ to 50€ and adds your name to the credits of the game 
  • we added a new Founder PLUS Perk for 100€ which includes guaranteed access to the closed betatest 
  • all Perks above Founder PLUS (Royal, Creator, Emperor) now include guaranteed access to the closed alphatest


Please note: The special Unicorn character will be only available for a limited time via our Indiegogo campaign. If you buy the Digital Deluxe version later it will have another character.
